Green Tax Shift + No Population Growth + More Public Transport + Cost Effective Defence

Purpose

NewAustralia believes Australia should:

Shift tax from 'Good' to 'Bads' - a major shift to eco-taxation.

Stop population growth.

Shift spending from road to rail.

Shift spending from defence to education while improving Australia's self-defence capability.

Increase housing affordability.

Shift spending from private health to public health.

Reduce the current account deficit.

Unlike the Greens we believe Austrlia's problems can be fixed without increasing taxes and spending - all we need to do is shift existing levels of taxing and spending to produce better environmental and social outcomes.

Funding

This site is funded by it's founders only. We have never received any money from any company, individual or government for this site. In particular we have never received any remuneration from companies that manufacture or sell products recommended on this web site.

In particular we note that no payment at all has been sought or received from Hitachi (Monorails), Transrapid (Maglev), Sukhoi (Aircraft), Bombardier (Monorails), Van Hool (Buses), Incat (Ferries) or Rubin (Submarines).
